Another way to update printer's firmware:
1. Go to the printer's web interface and enable ftp and fttp in network settings 2. Go to command prompt and type in ftp [printer's ip address] then press the Enter key 3. When prompted for username, type in the username or Enter key if none 4. When prompted for password, type in the password or Enter key if none 5. On ftp> type in "put" (without the ") then the firmware's file name or drag the firmware file onto the command prompt "put" 6. It should say printing document on the printer's display. It will say complete on computer screen when done. 7. After printer reboots few times, printer should say "Ready" on screen after firmware update is completed.
